Ron Hippe

Ron was an original cast member of the Pulitzer Prize winning production of Robert Schenkkan's The Kentucky Cycle in LA and later on Broadway in NY. He played the title role in Seattle's Intiman Theatre production of Peter Pan as well as appearing in ACT Theatre's A Christmas Carol. For two seasons at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Ron directed and appeared in Unexpected Shaxpere, a full length improvised Shakespeare play.
Ron's television credits include Northern Exposure, Arrest and Trial, Almost Live, and I'll Take Romance (with Linda Evans). He also appeared in The Chocolate War with John Glover and the Tim Noah film Daredreamer.
Ron has acted in countless videos and commercials for clients including, Taco Time, Northwest Mutual, Microsoft, Starbucks, T-Mobile, AT&T, Advanced Method, Farmer's NW Life, Boeing, Sprint, Sierra Online, Merryl Lynch, Washington Mutual and Red Robin, to name a few.
His voice can be heard in television and radio commercials and videos for clients including Emblem Insurance, Russell Investments, Microsoft, Ben Bridge, Travels to the Edge with Art Wolfe, National Mining Assoc., Parr Ford, Vulcan, Boeing, Nordstrom, Windermere, EMedia, Seattle Independent Film Festival, Bon/Macy's, Palamino Restaurants, WAMU, Washington Lottery, BECU, Regence Blue Shield, Caterpillar and KOMO TV.
Ron's voice is also featured in many video games including Halo3, Halo:Reach, Monday Night Combat, F.E.A.R. 3, Infamous, Godzilla, The Sims 2, Dungeon Siege 2, The Matrix Online, Midtown Madness 3, and SWAT 3. He also performed Motion Capture for F.E.A.R. 3 and Condemned 2.
Ron can be heard in classic radio dramas from Jim French Productions (including the Sherlock Holmes series) and he has read numerous books on tape, earning a National Golden Mic award for his reading of "Phobias" published by Listen and Live Audio.
For over twenty years, Ron has regularly performed and taught improv comedy with companies across the US and Europe including Unexpected Productions (Seattle), LA Theatre Sports, SAK Comedy Lab (Orlando), Dad's Garage (Atlanta), Olde Spontaneity Shop (London), Theatre im Bamhof (Austria) Ryan Stiles' Upfront Theatre (Bellingham) and Disney Cruise Lines. He has also taught acting and improvisation at Bellevue College, as well as most Seattle area high schools.
Ron is a singer and songwriter who plays keyboard in the popular Seattle kids band Caspar Babypants (with Chris Ballew from The Presidents of the United States of America), and guitar with his own prog-pop band Gumshen.
Often Ron performs sketch comedy and parody music around the country for corporate event clients including Charlotte Russe, T-Mobile, Starbucks, Verizon, and Bank of Hawaii to name a few.
Ron received a BA in History from University of Washington. He loves spending time with his wife Michelle and sons William and Weston.
